S8550 Transistor is a bi-polar general purpose PNP transistor that is commonly used in switching and amplifying applications. The connection between the collector and emitter pin remains closed till a base voltage is applied to it. When a base voltage is applied the connection is opened thus opening the load. These transistors are commonly used as push-pull transistors in Class B amplifiers.
