Optocoupler is an important component in electronics and here is MCT2E that is a hugely popular optocoupler available in quartz components with such great price. As like other optocouplers, it has an infrared emitting diode that optically controls a phototransistor. The forward voltage of the diode is typically 1.25V at 20mA of forward current. It is packaged in a 6-pin DIP Package.

Since it is the MCT2E, it has the CTR value of CTR 60 (> 20) % at 5mA forward current with 10V of collector-emitter voltage. The phototransistor supports a maximum of 50mA collector current.
