74HC86 IC is a Quad 2-Input OR gate IC with CMOS technology. The IC has four XOR gates, each with two input pins and one output pin. All four gates share the same power line but can function independently on their own. It has Input and Output buffers to enable low noise and stable outputs. Inputs are also protected against ESD and voltage. The device is designed for operation with a power supply range of 2.0V to 6.0V and the maximum input voltage and the output voltage will be equal to the operating voltage. The minimum high-level input voltage is 4.5V and the maximum low-level input voltage is 1.35V.
The 74HC86 IC provides four independent 2-input Exclusive OR gates with standard push-pull outputs. The device performs the Boolean functions Y = A ⊕ B = AB + AB in positive logic. Low noise and stable outputs are made possible by input and output buffers. ESD and voltage transients are also protected against at the inputs.
