Radio Type Potentiometers are used in variety of applications like current limiting, reference resistance, voltage control etc. by varying its resistance between the input and output terminal. It has two parts one fixed part which establishes a standard fixed electrical resistance and second is moving part which determines the resistance between the input and output terminals of the potentiometer. Usually, we have a protruding shaft to vary the resistance and for easy handling and ease of usage you can use this Potentiometer Knob on the rotor shaft to easily control the movement of the Radio Type Potentiometer as its rigidity allows you to precisely control the movement in clockwise or anticlockwise direction. If the POT is panel mounted the knob covers the mounting screws of the POT thus providing a neat finish. The knob also has a small dot marking on it that can used as reference to set the POT in required position.
