This is a high-temperature, flame resistant tape that can be used for electrical and thermal insulation. Kapton tapes are made from Kapton polyimide film with silicone adhesive. It is commonly used as a wire and cable wrap as well as to protect electrical components during soldering and is also easy to trim with a razor blade and can be used as a temporary dust cover for ports in devices.
